Flash floods occur when heavy rain falls down non-stop until an area is overflowed by water. The areas are likely the lower-lands. The quick change from a calm area to a raging river is what catches people off guard, making flash floods very dangerous. The water overflow is caused by the earth’s difficulty in absorbing huge amount of water at a certain time. It is also caused by blocked drains.
