The Beijing Olympics 2008 emblem

There are two main features of the emblem. The Dancing Beijing character and the red Chinese Seal. The emblem is filled with hospitality and hopes of Beijing. It also represents Beijing’s commitment to the world. The Beijing Olympic Games 2008 will be happening from the 8th of August until the 24th.

The Olympics logo

The logo has five rings - blue, yellow, black, green and red. The designer was Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) in 1913. Is it believed that the rings represent the union of five continents – Asia, America, Africa, Australia and Europe.
