Porcupines are herbivores. They love to eat tree barks. They use their sharp claws to strip off the barks. However, porcupines would strip too much bark causing the trees to die. It is said that a single porcupine can kill 100 trees in one winter!
Salty Cravings
Besides tree barks, porcupines like salt very much. This craving will cause them to eat almost anything salty. They eat rose bushes and even car tires. Porcupines are also known to eat the tool handles covered with human sweat!
