Ankylosaurus the Herbivore Dinosaur
 
Most dinosaurs were plant-eaters called herbivores. Ankylosaurus was a massive herbivore that lived in the late Cretaceous period (74 to 65 million years ago) in North America. Ankylosaurus was covered with massive armor to protect it from predators. It was also up to 33 feet long, and weighed over 4000 kilograms.

Coelophysis the Carnivore Dinosaur
 
Some dinosaurs were meat-eaters called carnivores. Coelophysis was a small dinosaur that lived in the late Triassic period (225 to 220 million years ago) in North America. It is in fact one of the earliest known dinosaurs. Coelophysis is known to have eaten meat among other things, small reptiles and fish.
