What is the difference between a violin and a viola?
Upon first glance, they resemble each other quite greatly. However when compared, a viola is slightly bigger than a violin. They both differ in tuning where the violin has strings of E, A, D and G and the viola with A, D, G and C. Both the tuning and the size explains the note range in which a violin has the ability to play a slightly higher note than the viola since it’s quite difficult for a hand to reach the higher note on the viola due to it’s slightly larger size.
